I have a dream I'm going across a river with my horse on the way to Dharmsala. This is where the Dali Lama fled for safety form Chinese repression. I leave my old city for a new one. In the Alagaddupama Sutta the Buddha compares the Dharma ( the teachings and practice) to a raft. The raft, he says, is for the purpose of crossing over, not for the purpose of holding onto.
